The project for the Lounge of Restaurant 1896 was designed to offer a different personality, less formal than the elegant and luxurious interior.
A contrast between cold materials – metal, composites, and stone – and warm light and vegetation was used.
The pieces created by Atelier13 included the metal bar made of stamped sheet metal, the illuminated sign, the drink shelf, the metal backbar panel, the partitioned area of the outdoor sofas with stamped sheet metal backrests, all table tops, the structure of the green wall, and the illuminated logo.
The central piece with a tree called Table J is particularly impressive and is made of metal with a Corian tabletop that was assembled and finished on-site. With only three support points – the legs at the ends and a metal planter containing the tree – Table J serves as a meeting and socializing place for the café’s customers.
